1. There will be no camp on Thursday, July 4, 2013 due to the 4th of July holiday. All camps during the week of July 1 will be prorated to reflect a 4-day session.

Day Camp	3½–6	9–3	$439		Dr. Seuss is on the Loose! Leap into the world of Dr. Seuss, making hats and painting with bubbles and your feet! Campers participate in fun–filled relay races and games such as the Hop on Pop Sack Race and Cat in the Hat Balance Game. Make ooey gooey Oobleck, grow a Truffula seed and make your own Butter Battle. Crazy color mismatch day ends the week as campers celebrate with a Dr. Seuss parade and dance party!	Captain Gomer’s Pirate Adventure Ahoy Mateys! Day campers jump aboard Captain Gomer’s pirate ship and live the life of a buccaneer creating pirate hats, patches, hooks and even their own pet parrots. Put on your pirate garb, and join together to help Gomer find his buried treasure. He is known to share his pirate loot with campers. Come join us on a Headfirst pirate adventure!	Headfirst Hawaiian Hullabaloo Summer adventures and Gomer’s birthday are here with the Hawaiian Hullabaloo! Sun and fun abound this July 4th week with day campers making their own sun visor, Hawaiian lei necklace and homemade tropical ice cream for the birthday celebration. Fun–filled water games and relay races fill these tropical days. To end the week everyone teaches Gomer to Hula for the Hawaiian Luau Birthday Bash!	Under the Big Top Come one, come all! The circus is coming to Headfirst Camp! Join Gomer for a week of silliness and fun, and participate in circus–themed games and activities. Campers practice their balancing skills, juggle, develop performance skills and become silly clowns, face paint and all. Don’t miss all the fun!	Rainforest Quest Elephants and monkeys and lions, oh my! Grab your binoculars and join Gomer and day campers as we head out on a rainforest adventure to explore the jungle and the thrilling plants and animals that dwell there. Make your own safari vest, rainforest creatures and rain–stick, and take part in a safari scavenger hunt!	Superheroes It’s a bird. It’s a plane. No, it’s super Gomer! Join Gomer and Headfirst campers as we discover our super powers and create superhero costumes. Campers learn what it takes to be a superhero in their own community, participate in the superhero fitness challenge and honor a real life hero by creating their own merit badge. Remember, superheroes are healthy eaters and good helpers!	Shark Week! Go under the sea with Headfirst this week, and keep your eyes open for sharks! Learn about some of the most powerful and exciting creatures of the sea, from sharks that are longer than a school bus to some that are tiny enough to hold in the palm of your hand. Campers make their own shark jaw and learn why sharks float. Join us to discover the underwater world on a shark–filled adventure!	Space is the Place Headfirst Camp is out of this world! Prepare for an important space mission by creating your own rocket, ready for blast off. We explore the planets, meet space friends and help them build a flying saucer as we make our journey through the universe. Be ready to join in on all the fun because there’s no place like space!	Buggin’ Out Headfirst Day Campers are buggin’ out for bugs! Create bug sculptures, observe real bugs in nature and create a bug home to continue your bug hunting fun. Campers learn about ladybugs, bumblebees, caterpillars, ants, crickets, grasshoppers and more. Join us as we learn all about these extraordinary creatures!

The sky is the limit this week with this engaging and hands-on camp experience. Learn the basics concepts of architecture while working with a team on your builds. Compete in Lego speed races, memorizations builds and creation games. Every day is a new and unique adventure for the Lego fanatic!	Creative Stop-Motion Animation Lights, camera, ACTION! Ready to make your own movie? In this creative “eyes-on” week, groups create their own stop-motion cinematic ideas and write the scripts. Learn how to shoot and edit a stop-motion movie using high-tech iPad and iMovie technology to create Claymation, Candymation, Legomation and more. All campers spend time as the director, camera operator, editor and producer. Finish the week by showing your movie creation on the big screen at the Headfirst Film Festival!	Camper vs. Wild Find your inner Bear Grylls! Campers take part in an action-packed week filled with physical, mental and team challenges and friendly competitions. Campers learn survival skills and put their problem solving abilities to the test, in addition to participating in fun-filled activities. Learn how to read a compass, rock climb and build a survival raft! Shelter building, battery making, team relay races, scavenger hunts and obstacle courses round out this “can’t miss” week of camp. Camper vs. Wild will bring out the “survival instinct” within you!	Amazing XCamp Race Campers should prepare for a fun-filled week as they embark on a “race around the world” and take on new, exciting adventures each day. Along the journey, campers choose between detours, overcome road blocks and search for pit stops. Each day we learn about new cultures and countries as groups compete on adventure challenges. Teamwork is needed to finish this Amazing XCamp Race!	Dangerous Boys & Daring Girls Inspired by the books The Dangerous Book for Boys and The Daring Book for Girls, campers explore all kinds of exciting adventures and mesmerizing ideas. Campers make slingshots, lava lamps, water bombs, friendship bracelets, and topnotch paper airplanes along with learning secret spy codes and playing capture the flag. This camp is only for the daring and dangerous!	Action Stop-Motion Animation Moviemaking magic comes to life this week with imaginative stop-motion mania! Together with your group you’ll write, shoot and edit a stop-motion movie using high-tech iPad and iMovie technology. Take turns as the director, camera operator and producer, and create amazing animated films using Foodmation, “Circusmation”, “Floating-mation” and more. This lights, camera, ACTION-packed week comes to a close with the Headfirst Film Festival where you show your filmmaking magic on the big screen!	Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Welcome to Harry Potter’s world and a week filled with mysteries and challenges at Hogwarts Americana. First reach into the sorting hat to discover which house you’re in. Then potion and wand making, muggle magic tricks and more guarantee a fun-filled week. Join fellow campers to solve the Sorcerer’s Stone Challenge, and houses compete all week in Headfirst Quidditch matches in the quest for the House Cup!	Magic Circus Adventures Campers explore their creative and silly side by discovering and developing their circus and performing arts skills. Circus arts taught include stilt walking, juggling, balloon twisting, plate spinning, clowning, face painting, magic tricks and more! Campers show off their new skills at the end of the week with their own Cirque du Headfirst performance!	Imaginative Inventors Have you ever dreamt of becoming the next world-famous inventor? Campers transform into a modern day Thomas Edison as they design and build fun, imaginative devices. There are no limits this week as campers investigate interesting and bizarre inventions, build “Rube Goldberg” machines, create their own games, and construct gadgets to help solve real-life problems.
Cooking	7–12	9–3	$435			Molto Italiano! Students will learn different regional specialties of Italy, a country that is incredibly diverse in terrain and food culture. Go beyond pasta and explore delicacies like chicken piccata, eggplant parmesan, Caprese salad, tiramisu, and much, much more! Find out what makes Italian food so popular worldwide.		Market Basket Challenge Students will find a unique set of ingredients in their “baskets” each day with which to create a daily menu. Emphasis will be on fresh, seasonal, and healthy ingredients. Learning to cook in this way teaches kids to be flexible, adaptive, and to think on their feet. Are you up for the challenge?	Baking Boot Camp Move beyond the basics and stretch your baking repertoire to include things like biscuits, muffins, cupcakes, fruit tarts, and dessert sauces. Students will also learn measurements and equivalents, as well as basic techniques like folding, whisking, and rolling during this week.	Amazing Asian Get ready to explore different Asian cuisines as we cruise through China, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, and India. Students will learn a variety of cooking techniques like steaming, sautéing, chopping, and rolling, as they prepare and then sample dishes like Pad Thai, Summer rolls, Potato curry, Samosas, and Stir fry. Students will be introduced to a number of different flavors this week too, like cilantro, tamarind, turmeric, and more. Get your taste buds ready for this tasty adventure through Asia!	Breakfast for Dinner! Turn your favorite breakfast dishes into the main event as dinner options. How about a cheddar-chive frittata with fresh salsa? Brunch pasta with bacon and eggs! Maybe you’d prefer a more traditional French toast, dressed up with bananas and blueberries? Any way you slice it your little chef will love tucking into these comforting breakfast classics.	Tables of Tapas Tapas seem to be all the rage these days, and while they can come from just about anywhere, we’ll focus on Spanish and Italian tapas (called Cichetti) this week. Your chef will learn to make a variety of one bite wonders like Caprese salad on a stick, classic tomato bruschetta, sizzling garlic shrimp, stuffed peppers, and much, much more.

Join us on a week-long, fun-filled technological adventure to learn about robots and even build one of your own. Discover how robots are used and how they impact our lives. Learn the science and basic mechanics of robotics and how robots operate. This hands-on camp includes investigations on sound sensing robots, line-tracking robots, amphibious robots and more. At the end of the week, you get to take home your own creation!	Aerospace Adventures Prepare for an exciting week of air and space exploration and amazing rockets! This hands-on adventure introduces campers to the physics of rocket flight and aerodynamics. Learn about fuel, space travel and aerospace vehicles. With a focus on safety, campers learn how to design, build and launch rockets, hot air balloons and air missiles. Teamwork is required as campers work together on mission control, launch preparation, take off, tracking and recovery. Aerospace Adventures is awesome!		Grossology What’s stinky, crusty, oozy and slimy? That’s you! Come explore how the human body works on this grossly-fun Imagination Science week. Did you know that your nose can sense smell best when you are 10 years old? That’s probably why campers notice gross smells faster than adults do! Put that nose to work while creating fun science experiments to make boogers, fake blood, burps and more! Join us for an insanely hilarious journey of all things that are NOT allowed at the dinner table!	MythBusters Are you ready to challenge popular beliefs, urban myths and the laws of physics? Campers work together to become true myth busters as they conduct fun experiments to answer all kinds of cool questions. Can water power a rocket? How do soap bubbles float? Why do curve balls curve? Can we use air to launch marshmallows? How to voices travel on a string? Don’t miss this experiment-filled, hands-on week!	Crime Scene Detectives Put on your detective hat and get ready to solve some tricky mysteries. Together, your team of investigators will learn the science behind crime solving and forensics, including gathering evidence, fingerprinting techniques and analysis.
