For nearly three decades, we’ve been designing summer experiences where confidence is built on purpose, friendships form naturally, and every child is encouraged to discover what they’re capable of. What started in Washington, D.C. has grown into a community rooted in care, intention, and joyful, high-energy days that families return to year after year.
Today, Headfirst Summer Camps serve thousands of children across the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia region. Our programs span sports, day camp, STEM, and creative exploration — but they’re united by the same philosophy: environments matter. From how groups are formed to how staff give feedback, nothing is accidental. We design each camp to support growth, belonging, and meaningful moments that stick long after summer ends.
Our team is the heart of it all. Hundreds of coaches, counselors, and educators bring empathy, enthusiasm, and leadership to every day — creating places where kids feel safe trying new things, proud of their progress, and excited to come back tomorrow.
