Headfirst Camps operates one of the top summer camp programs in the country. We settle for nothing less than an exceptional supporting cast of teachers, coaches, role models, and positive motivators. In fact, at Headfirst Camps, instead of using the terms “counselor” or “staff” we call our team members PMTs — an acronym for “Positive Motivator & Teacher.” We use the term “Coaches” for our MLB Camp Programs.
Working at Headfirst Camps is a lot like working with your friends. We understand, respect, and appreciate different people and we believe in creating a positive culture based on shared-common values and a commitment to enriching the lives of the children that attend our programs.
We believe in keeping each other informed so we constantly ask for feedback and are always available to answer questions. To work at Headfirst you must be at least 18 years of age and/or a graduating high school senior. The majority of our PMTs are professionals in the field of education. Prospective PMT applications are accepted year round but the official hiring season begins December 1.

In addition to the summer commitment, you must attend mandatory staff training sessions that range between 8-20 total hours depending on your position. These training sessions take place in early and mid June.
