Headfirst Junior Day Camp

Junior Day Camp Overview

For many of our Junior Day Campers, this is their first camp experience. So we go above and beyond to make sure you and your camper feel comfortable-from our flawless carpool drop off, to our daily blog updates on camper activities, to our highly trained staff. We work with teachers and child development experts to create a program that focuses on school readiness, emphasizing fine motor development, following multi-step directions, expanding expressive vocabulary, and promoting persistence, all while offering the best of summer camp! Your child will do everything from arts & crafts to STEM to swim lessons, and have the opportunity to make friends and learn skills to increase his or her independence.

The Headfirst Difference

Lots of camps do weekly themes … but we do it better! Each week we create a dynamic, immersive experience based on a theme, such as Dinosaurs, Outer Space, or Zoo-topia. Then through the world we've created, we give campers thoughtful daily challenges to teach and practice qualities like grit and optimism. It's our goal to encourage each camper to dig deep and discover his or her full potential. To the kids, it feels like camp. But we know we're accomplishing more! Check out our unique Super Six curriculum to learn how we help build character through play.

Swim

Where available, camp includes a daily instructional swim, with goals that are kid-specific, from blowing bubbles to doing the backstroke. Your child will be carefully supervised at all times, with a 3:1 child-to-staff ratio in the pool, and swim progress reports will be sent home to parents. Families may opt out of swim time if they wish.
